India produces some of the finest jewellery in the world. The manufacturers are skilled. The designs are strong. The market is enormous. But a brand in Bengaluru trying to source lab-grown diamond jewellery from a manufacturer in Surat still has to do it over WhatsApp, negotiate without any price transparency, and trust quality entirely to word of mouth.
We saw the same problem on the manufacturer side. Factories running orders on spreadsheets, inventory tracked by hand, no way to know whether a production run was profitable until after it shipped. World-class craftspeople running their operations on tools from twenty years ago.
We started DVAB LABS in December 2025 to build what the industry was missing. Not another middleman. Not a directory. Infrastructure — that makes manufacturer-to-brand trade transparent, verified, and fast, and gives manufacturers the software to actually run their operations.
The global jewellery market is one of the largest traditional trade industries in the world. Thousands of manufacturers and brands operate across Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, and major international hubs. Yet the transaction between a brand and a manufacturer still happens over WhatsApp, with no price transparency, no quality guarantee, and no paper trail.
For brands: finding the right manufacturer takes weeks of cold outreach. Comparing quality across suppliers is guesswork. Certifications are inconsistent. MOQs are rigid. And when something goes wrong, there's no recourse.
For manufacturers: orders come in through WhatsApp and get tracked in spreadsheets. Inventory is reconciled manually. Production is scheduled by feel. There is no system. There is no data. Factories that make world-class jewellery are running on infrastructure that has not changed in decades.
Both sides of the trade are ready for something better. That is what we are building.
Our first product is The Indian Jewellery Store — a B2B procurement platform for jewellery brands. Brands browse certified catalogues across lab-grown diamonds, 925 silver, demi-fine, and gemstone jewellery. They can order from the catalogue, customise existing designs, or send their own designs for manufacturing. Every order comes with GIA or IGI certification, BIS hallmarking where applicable, two-factor quality verification, and insured shipping.
Our second product is Facman AI — factory management software built for jewellery manufacturers. Inventory tracking, order management, production planning, and quality control in one platform. Built specifically for how jewellery factories actually work, not adapted from software that was never designed for this industry.
Together, they form the infrastructure layer for the jewellery trade — reliable procurement for brands, and modern operations software for the manufacturers who supply them.
